FHE at the Patch

For family home evening last week we went to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkin to carve into a scary jack-o-lantern.

We had a nice time. We didn't stay for too long though, because we got there late and it was getting too dark.

Funtime at the Zoo

Last week Dan, the kids, and I went to the zoo. It was a fun experience. I was quite pleased with how clean it was. Since some smaller zoos can be not so nice.



Dallin and Sierra enjoyed themselves. We saw a bunch of different animals. And the kids got to pet some goats, llamas, and sheep. They liked that a lot.

Sierra said she liked the giraffes and monkeys the best. While Dallin liked the zebras and tigers.

After the zoo, we went to eat at Cheesecake Factory. One of our favorite restaurants. It was delicious, as usual.

Our Nephew

Dan's nephew Brandon, was diagnosed with cancer a couple months ago. The cancer he was diagnosed with is in his leg. Thankfully the cancer did not reach his bone, which is a great blessing in and of itself. He has now been going through chemotherapy, for the last month or so.


He is at home now, taking it easy and recovering from his last round of chemo. His blood count is low, and until that goes up they have put off any more treatments.


Since Brandon knew he'd be losing his hair, he decided to do something wild with it before it fell out. Look at that cool mohawk!
Brandon is such an amazing person. He is taking this trial with such courage, strength, and faith. I couldn't imagine having to go through something like that, and he has shown bravery beyond his 13 years. We are so proud of him!


Even without hair, he is such a handsome guy :)
All the prayers and good thoughts you could send his way, would be so greatly appreciated. For him and his family. We know that every little bit helps. We know he will get through this. Heavenly Father has great things in store for him.


Even through all the suffering, he still keeps his sense of humor. Love the wig, Brandon! *hee hee*

It is so fabulous. I really have no words. I'm just alternating between gasps, sighs, and squees, while jumping up and down in my seat.

Oh and did you notice the little nod to Stephenie and the book cover? I loved that! :D

The trailer has over 1 million hits, and it was just released late last night. Wowzers!

I can't wait to see it in the theater on the big screen tonight. I'm going to try to not pass out when I see it, but I better take along a defibulator just to be safe. lol

New Trailer Coming Friday!

The new full length Twilight trailer comes out this Friday in theaters. *Woot woot* And we should be getting it a day early online. So stayed tuned for that.

I'm guessing it will probably play before City of Ember, since that movie is by Summit as well. I'll be getting together with friends for a girls night Friday, and yes we will be seeing that movie. ;D

Also this trailer will be playing on TV as well, so be on the look out.
