Ok, so I know I said it would be awhile before I wrote anything else about the Twilight books. But this was just too exciting not to share. Plus it has been like a week, right?! So that could be interpreted as "awhile". ;)
Anyway they just released some official movie pictures, of the Cullen family, on Stephenie Meyer's site. They seem to be just test shots to see how everyone will look together. So they aren't the best quality (a little Sears-ish actually). But they are really actually together, and everyone looks fabulous except for Jasper's scary hair and some wardrobe issues. That can all be fixed. I'd also like to see Alice's hair a little shorter (pixie cut), but that is a minor thing. Plus again I don't think this will be the final look of everyone. I'm thinking they put these out there to secretly get free feedback.
The important thing is Robert Pattinson IS Edward! He completely and utterly looks like him. I was hyperventilating when I first saw him. Well to be honest I still am. *hee hee* He is perfect. I can not wait for the movie to come out in December.
Here are the pictures that have been photoshopped by people to look more like the real characters. Jasper's hair looks 10 times better in these enhanced shots. Before, I am sad to say, it looked like a golden retriever had died on top of his head. LOL (For those that don't know which one is Jasper, he is the blonde on the far right side, in the first pic.)
Enjoy, I know I did! *click on the pictures to see them bigger*

Laurie's Horse
Later, last saturday afternoon, we got to go see Laurie's horse again at the stables. Her name is Jewel, and she is such a pretty horsie. And very sweet.
Dan rode her for a couple minutes, but I don't think Jewel was too happy to have him on her. She refused to really go anywhere. Not used to all that weight, I suspect. (just kidding baby!)
The kids had a blast riding on Jewel.
I didn't ride. Not really my thing. But I enjoyed watching. Don't I look like an official cowgirl? NOT! ;p lol
We had a fun time, and I got a bunch of cute pictures of the kids.
And this one cracks me up, because Dan decided to be a vampire for me, as I took the shot. What a goof.

The Sacramento Temple
Last saturday afternoon we went to the Sacramento Temple with Laurie. We moved away from the area, only a couple months before the dedication of the Temple in 2006. So this was the first time we got to see the temple in person. It is so beautiful. Surrounded by grand, old oak trees.
Here we are together. And a pic of the kids with their Auntie Laurie.
It is supposed to be one of the smaller temples, but it looked pretty big to us. It must be the bigger smaller temple. lol The kids loved the fountain.
Danny and I didn't do a session this time. We just wanted to take the kids, and go with Laurie to enjoy the grounds and peacefulness of the surroundings. Plus it looked like they were closed that saturday for maintance.
Look at the detailing. Simply gorgeous!
Next time we are up in the area, we definitely want to do an endowment session.

The Jazz vs. The Kings
Last weekend we went up to Sacramento. I got Danny NBA tickets, to see the Jazz play against the Kings, for his birthday. Dan loves the Jazz, and detests the Kings. He'll watch the Kings games just to make sure they lose. That is how badly he hates them. lol Here we are at the game. Say "cheese".
We went and stayed with Laurie and Marty; Dan's sister and brother in law. They watched the kids for us while we went to the game that night. Here's Arco Arena, the Kings home court.
The Jazz are warming up..
Stand for our National Anthem. The singer was very good.
One of our favorite players. Kirelinko(sp?) He's from Russia, and very good.
The game has begun.
Getting fouled by the Kings. BOO! Down with the stinky Kings!
He shoots, he scores!
The score at halftime. The Jazz end up getting ahead for the third quarter and beginning of the 4th.
But then it all goes down hill in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter. The Jazz just could not hit any of their shots. We don't know what was up with them. So unfortunately they lost. WAAAAHHH! The final score...
Oh well, that's ok, because we still had fun. Even if our team lost. It was an exciting game. And really fun to cheer for the Jazz, especially because we were surrounded by a bunch of Kings fans. ;p

V-Day Dance
Valentine's day and the day after were nice. Danny surprised me with chocolates and beautiful red roses. Aren't they lovely!
Then yesterday our Stake had a Valentine's Dance for us "old married folks". lol It was so much fun! I have a passion for dancing, as many of you know. It is the only thing I miss about being single. The dances every month as a YSA, and the dance clubs in Chico. Dan is more than willing to take me dancing, but there aren't any places really around here(or where we lived in the past) to dance, plus you rarely get dances for married people in the Church. So needless to say I was ecstatic when the dance was announced a month ago! We made sure to get our babysitter 3 weeks ago. I was not going to miss this.
Dan and I had so much fun. The dance had a good sized turnout too. Hopefully they will make it a yearly event. It was nice to have such a wide variety of people there as well. At first it was only Dan and I and one other couple dancing, but slowly others started to come out as well. At the end there was quite a crowd. Some people just sat there at the tables the whole time. I just don't understand that. What is the point of going to a dance if you don't actually get up and dance?!
Anyway Dan and I had fun dancing and being goofy. You realize really quickly how out of shape you are once you start dancing a few fast songs. I am completely out of practice. Had to take a few more breathers that I used to. We were still out there most of the time, at least when there were good songs. We got to fast dance, swing, slow dance, and I attempted to teach Dan how to cha cha. So there was a variety in that aspect. Honestly though the song choices weren't the greatest, there were only a couple that I was really excited to hear and dance to. I could've done so much better at choosing the songs. But "beggers can't be choosers", as the saying goes. So I am just thankful that I got to dance; period.
It was funny because at the end, we had quite a few people come up to us and tell us that they enjoyed watching us dance. *hee hee* I guess I still have my crown as the Dancing Queen! ;D
We had such a wonderful night.

More Photo Manips
Well I promise this will be my last posting(for a while anyway) on Twilight. lol I loved these photoshoped pictures of Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson, so I had to share them.
Firstly this is a scene from the "Port Angeles" chapter. I thought the quality of this manipulation was top notch!
Next is just a very sweet one that showcases Bella & Edward's love. Beautiful job on this one.
Last but not least are three shots of Rob that feel very Edward-esque to me.
Smiling at Bella *sigh*..
Oh and I found a site off of Stephenie Meyer's site that is especially for "older" fans of the books. No teenagers allowed. So if you become as obsessed as I am, it is a good place to go. http://www.twilightmoms.com/ They have a forum and a bunch of other stuff. Very fun.
Also breaking news as of a couple days ago. The 4th book "Breaking Dawn", is now available for preorder on amazon and barnes & noble. It comes out at the beginning of August! *squeeeee*
Enjoy!

My Playlist
Music is an important part to the Twilight series. The books are so visual that music just fits into them perfectly. Stephenie Meyer created playlists that she listened to while she was writing each book. That helped inspire each book.
I've created my own Twilight playlist for my iPod. Some of the songs are from Stephenie's lists, and others are ones that I felt fit as well. Not all the lyrics in each song are perfectly perfect fits, but they will have the right overall tone and feeling for me, that they work. This is certainly not the end all list. I continue to add songs to it all the time. Feel free to create your own list, or suggest any songs that you think work. I'm always up for new ideas. :)

The Calendar I Made
I made calendars again this year as Christmas presents for our family. Using digital scrapbooking and then having them print them out at Kinko's. They turned out very nice this year. I am pleased. So I thought I'd go ahead and share what I did. At least the top part of each month. The bottoms aren't as exciting, since they don't have the kids pictures in them. You can imagine what the bottom looks like pretty much by what the top looks like. I made them smaller, so there'd be enough space on the blog for them. Click on the picture, to see it bigger. Enjoy...
