Field Trip Time

Sierra and her preschool class got to go on a field trip to SaveMart. They had a good time.

They got a tour from the store manager. He gave them all deli hats to wear. Then he talked to them about the fruits and veggies in the produce aisle.

He took them to the deli area, to see a cake being decorated, and meat sliced. They each got a free sample of turkey. Sierra didn't want it, and gave it to Dan and I. Mmmm turkey.

Then they got to see the seafood, and live lobsters. Sierra was too afraid to get near it, when they took one out of the tank. And I don't blame her. They really are ugly creatures, but oh do they taste good!

After that it was on to the dairy and frozen food sections. And lastly each of the kids got to go to the registers and scan an item. They all really liked doing that.

That is so cute! What a neat field trip. Did they shut down the store for them or something? There don't appear to be any other people around..

Yeah I thought it was a cute idea for the kids. I know Sierra enjoyed it. No, it was during normal store hours. There were people trying to shop while all the kids were there. That would've been cool though if they had closed it for their class.

Yeahhh for SaveMart Fieldtrips...Sierra is a doll! Pre K is such a wonderful time of a child's life! Give a hello to my favorite teacher, Mrs. Tarbell!
