Orland, back to Chico, up to Paradise Part 3

The next morning we got ready to go to the ward in Orland. This was Danny's old stomping grounds. He spent most of his time growing up, in Orland. So it holds a lot of good memories for him. And he was excited to be going to his old ward. And I was excited to see all the people that were still there, that he knew from when he was younger.

And it just so happened that his old friend Chris (Griz) Kilian was there visiting as well, with his kids. Also Dan's friend Garrett Fry was there, and Michael Favre (sp?). So almost half of the "rat pack" were there that Sunday. It was really neat to meet all these people that knew Danny as a kid and teenager. I already knew a few of them, but others I had never met before. I also saw a couple people I knew from Chico 6th ward, so that was cool.

Here is a picture of Danny, with Griz and Garrett. Dan is of course, on the left, then Garrett is in the middle, and Chris is on the right. This was the last and final picture I was able to get while we were up for the weekend. My batteries ran out on my camera, right after that shot.

That Sunday evening we went and visited with Grandpa Billings. We saw him in his new bigger apartment. He got the kids each a gift. Dallin got a cool Batman car, and Sierra got this cute little Yorkie dog stuff animal that comes in a carrier. We got Dad a box of Mona Vie too. We all talked and watched "Over the Hedge" together. It was a nice visit.

That night we went back up to Paradise to stay at Great Grandpa's. Then Monday morning we took Grandpa Hunt out for breakfast at Cozy Diner. The food was yummy and it was great to spend a little more time with him before we left for home.

All in all we had a wonderful trip. We wish we could do it more often.
